Specialty Ingredient Supplier to the Food Manufacturing and Food Service IndustriesB J Harris Trading - Sale of Nikken Agency to Langdon Ingredients, effective 1st August, 2011 Langdon Ingredients have negotiated with B J Harris Trading & the Nikken Foods Company of Japan to take over the sale and distrbution of Nikken Natural Extracts in Australasia, from 1st August 2011. B J Harris Trading became the founding agent for Nikken in Australia when, in 1972, Bevan Harris obtained the agency. Sales of natural extracts and flavours have increased considerably & are continuing to increase. The Harris family decided that a larger organisation would be required to further the development of Nikken sales in Australasia. Langdon Ingredients have been warehousing & distributing the Nikken products for B J Harris from their new modern warehouse in Melbourne for over 4 years and are now well aquainted with handling the Nikken products. Kate Harris will act as Liaison Ambassador for Nikken and will work with Langdon's to ensure a smooth transition. Yolande Willliams, from B J Harris Trading, who is an experienced Food Technologist, will be joining the Langdon's Team in the new role of Specialty Ingredients Manager NSW. This team will be headed by Andrew Platt and comprise staff based in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Auckland. Yolande has specialised knowledge in the application of Nikken Natural Extracts into the food manufacturing industry.
